In 2021, the ‘Write Around Waltham Forest’ poetry festival was launched. To adapt to the limitations of the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival created an interactive map that encouraged participants to explore different parts of Waltham Forest whilst locating QR codes that gave them exclusive access to different poems. The lamp post sleeves were the primary vessel that delivered the initiative to the community. Four illustrative approaches were created, each inspired by different forms of writing utensils with each design using a different colour to attract attention.
